WINTER HARMONIES
Design and realisation for temporary installation in the Salone d’Onore of the Palazzo della Triennale in Milan. On the occasion of the vernissage of Sally Gabori’s exhibition, Odd Garden conceived a concept with deep references to a winter garden. A mix of grasses and deciduous plants alternate in islands that envelop the visitor in an archipelago of soft, neutral colours with subtle colour accents. The conceptual choice of the project is in full contrast with the works on display, large panels on which colours explode in an almost irrational and allegorical manner.
The aim of the project becomes that of making the most convivial part of the event a harmonious and sober space, a walk in a winter park, where plants are the right compendium and the discreet charm of non-colours transforms the lounge seats into benches and the marble of the floor into gravel.
